He is best known as the Scottish actor who played Hagrid in Harry Potter films. His first TV comedy appearance was in A Kick Up the Eighties. He was also the Valentin Dmitrovich Zurkovsky character in James Bond films GoldenEye, and The World Is Not Enough.
